High-Resolution Capture for Complex Structures
Our large-scale 3D photogrammetry service enables the accurate digitisation of complex and oversized structures, capturing both geometry and surface detail with high precision. At ThinkScan, we specialise in scanning large objects such as sculptures, statues, bas-reliefs, ceilings, architectural elements, balustrades, and balconies. Using advanced photogrammetry workflows, we generate detailed 3D models suitable for visualisation, documentation, and manufacturing applications. The resulting data is delivered in standard formats such as STL and OBJ. Where required, OBJ files include UV-mapped colour textures, providing a realistic and fully textured digital representation of the original object. This approach is particularly effective for heritage preservation, architectural documentation, and reverse engineering of large or complex geometries. If you would like to learn more about our 3D scanning services, feel free to get in touch.
An interesting example of large-scale 3D photogrammetry can be seen in this article on the digital capture of the Winnie-the-Pooh sculpture.
