Suzuki Side Fairing. CAD Reverse Engineering from 3D Scan Data
CAD Reverse Engineering from 3D Scan Data
A Suzuki motorbike side fairing was digitally redesigned starting from 3D scan data, with the goal of rebuilding a clean and fully parametric CAD model. The scanned component showed local deformations, likely caused by wear or usage over time. Rather than reproducing these imperfections, the geometry was carefully interpreted to recover the original design intent. This involved selectively analysing the mesh data and redefining surfaces to achieve consistent curvature and alignment. The final result is not just a replica of the scanned part, but a corrected and structured CAD model, suitable for manufacturing, redesign, or further engineering development. If you need to convert 3D scan data into accurate, production-ready CAD models, feel free to get in touch.
