Porsche Brake Caliper Reverse Engineering. 3D Scan to CAD

This project showcases the reverse engineering of a high-performance brake caliper from a Porsche sports car, originally manufactured by Brembo. Using high-resolution 3D scan data (STL mesh), the complex geometry and intricate features of the component were accurately captured. The scan data was then processed and reconstructed into a clean, parametric CAD model, enabling full flexibility for redesign, optimisation, and integration into engineering assemblies. The final model was delivered in STEP format and imported into SolidWorks for further development, analysis, and validation.
