Car differential Gearbox. 3D scanning Example

Here is an example of watertight 3D scan of a car differential gearbox. In order to achieve the whole 3D scan we have used our FARO Laser Arm which is a very good solution to collect all features, especially when the part contains several occlusion and hidden areas. The CAD reverse engineering stage has been done in Geomagic Design X; for this particular case we have extracted the hole positions, vectors, planes and other useful references.
